There are three tag types available. Each Tag type is designed to represent a different display option for your content. To view these options go to Curate > Tags > Create New Tag.
The below area will help to explain this further.
Content - This default type is most commonly used to label content that comes through from your Terms. Content Tags help to sort through items, manage your campaigns, and set up your Filters. This type can be marked as Public (displayed on your content) or private (for internal purposes only).
Product - Commonly used by retail/e-commerce customers to tag their products and allow their customers the opportunity to purchase or gain more information on a product or service. This type can be marked as Public (displayed on your content) or private (for internal purposes only).
There is a fourth option which is System. This option is not selectable and is system-generated when a stack is created.
