By default Nosto excludes well-known and identified bots such as Google’s from traffic analysis. Altogether we identify and exclude traffic by hundreds of different bots, based on standard bot self-identification method and IP blacklists. In addition, we have built a methodology to exclude traffic by some of the more advanced, yet known bots, which disguise themselves as regular browsers / regular shoppers.

As a rule of thumb, if your own custom bot or any bot visiting your website identifies itself as one in the user-agent details, traffic is automatically excluded. In case you use a sophisticated health monitoring bot, crawler or similar, contact Nosto's support by sharing details how to identify your bot so that we can review how to exclude the traffic.
