The pop-up behavior allows you to choose how customers receive their discount vouchers, whereas the campaign type defines when a pop-up is triggered.

The default selection on the left, show coupon, hands out discount coupon to customers without additional input when they click the show my coupon button. Button’s Call-to-Action is editable.

The selection on the right, ask for email, descriptively asks for customer’s email address before the coupon is displayed and accessible. Use this feature to collect email addresses and improve the number of your newsletter subscribers, hence in the creative text, make sure and clear how you are going to use the email address and obviously why a customer should leave it, for example what is the value of receiving your newsletters.

Collected email-addresses are exported as a .csv list under Tools > Emails > Email export.
