When you import Customer Data, it's possible that Nosto has already identified a user with his email address and has a unique profile for him in its customer database. 

If you decide to import data for these customers, it will not conflict in any way. For example, if you import customer attributes matching with these customers, Nosto will enrich their profiles with the corresponding attributes. These attributes can later be used for segmentation purposes.
