Having a higher number of abandoned carts than sent email is normal as Nosto doesn’t identify all of your users by an email.

The number of sent emails will increase with time when Nosto can identify a greater share of your customers. Additionally, you can ask a customer to leave an email address using a cart abandonment pop-up which doesn’t offer a discount, but asks for an email address, so that an abandoned cart email can be sent later.

The feature is effectively free so if you are already using Nosto’s abandoned cart emails we encourage you to enable the pop-up right away!
