Overview
Every Bundle in Nosto has an origin that tells you how the Bundle was created. Origin is visible in the Bundles Overview (as a filterable attribute) and on individual Bundle cards. It helps you understand at a glance which Bundles are fully hand-crafted, which were generated by AI, and which are a mix of both.
Origin is separate from Bundle status. A Bundle's origin does not affect whether it shows on-site - it is purely informational.
Origin Types Explained
Manual
A Bundle with the Manual origin was created entirely by you or your team in the Bundle editor, without any AI involvement.
This includes:
Bundles where you selected all products by hand.
Bundles built using attribute rules that you defined yourself.
Any Bundle where you did not accept AI suggestions during setup.
AI-suggested
A Bundle with the AI-suggested origin was created directly from an AI Opportunity, without any manual setup. Huginn identified the Bundle opportunity and generated the initial Bundle configuration for you - you accepted it, and it became a live Bundle.
Key point: AI-suggested means the Bundle was created from an AI Opportunity. Accepting further AI suggestions into the Bundle updates the origin to AI-assisted.
AI-assisted
A Bundle with the AI-assisted origin started either as a Manual Bundle or from an AI Opportunity, but at least one product in it was added via an AI suggestion (from the Bundle Builder or AI Opportunities).
In other words: AI-assisted = human in the loop, with AI contributions accepted.
When does a Bundle become AI-assisted?
You create or edit a Bundle manually, and accept a cross-sell or fallback suggestion from Huginn in the Bundle editor.
You act on a Fallback Item Suggestion in AI Opportunities and apply a replacement product to an existing Bundle.
Imported
A Bundle with the Imported origin was created via a data import. Imported Bundles behave like Manual Bundles in terms of priority (alphabetical ordering for attribute triggers) but have their own origin label for clarity.
Where to See and Filter by Origin
In the Bundles Overview
The Bundles Overview includes an origin filter in the Bundles overview page. Use it to filter your Bundles list to a single origin type at a time, for example:
Show only AI-suggested Bundles to see what Huginn has generated for you.
Show only Manual Bundles to review what was built entirely by your team.
Show only AI-assisted Bundles to find Bundles that combine manual setup with AI input.
How Origin Changes: An Example
You create a Bundle manually in the Bundle editor. Origin: Manual.
You accept a cross-sell suggestion from Huginn while editing the Bundle. Origin updates to: AI-assisted.
A colleague creates a new Bundle directly from a Top Performer opportunity on the AI Opportunities page. Origin: AI-suggested.
They apply a Fallback Item Suggestion to that same Bundle later. Origin updates to: AI-assisted.
Summary
Every Bundle has an origin: Manual, AI-suggested, AI-assisted, or Imported.
Manual - fully hand-crafted, no AI involvement.
AI-suggested - created directly from an AI Opportunity by Huginn.
AI-assisted - includes at least one product added via an AI suggestion, on top of manual setup.
Imported - created via CSV or API import.
Use the origin filter in the Bundles Overview to segment and review your Bundles by how they were created.
Origin does not affect whether a Bundle shows on-site - it is informational only.
