Aggregation

The following functionality has been removed from the Instagram Business Hashtag Search Terms offered on the Platform:

  • User Handle : All Hashtag Term posts will be aggregated as being anonymous

  • Location : All Hashtag Term posts will no longer include Location details

  • Refine by Location ID : It will not longer be possible to refine by Location ID

Rights Management

Nosto's Rights Management functionality will continue to work in the following scenarios:

  • Rights via Response for all Instagram Tiles

  • Rights via Registration for all Instagram Tiles

  • Batch Rights Management for @mentions Tiles

FAQ

Why did Nosto need to remove Userhandle and Location details from Hashtag Tiles?

Facebook has requested for all third parties leveraging their APIs to no longer share this detail in the interest of privacy for its end users. Facebook is requested all vendors to remove this information.

Why can competitors bring in Location or Userhandle details for Hashtag content?

Facebook does not support vendors doing this, and is currently in the process of reaching out to all App providers to remove this data.
