The Findologic search works as follows:

  1. At the same time all search words are searched together ("AND" of the individual words).

  2. A fuzzy search is performed for all search words ("fuzzy AND").

  3. The system searches for the individual search words and then merges the results ("OR" of the individual words).

  4. The system searches for individual search words and their error-tolerant combinations (error-tolerant "OR").

Relevance values are calculated depending on the type of hit (direct, indirect) and the weighting of the field (item title, description texts, attributes, ...) in which the hit was found. This ensures that the hit with the highest relevance can be ranked right at the top.
