How to Upload Several Tags at Once

To upload several tags at once (batch upload) go to Curate > Tags and click on "Export Tags". A CSV file will be loaded onto your computer. Open the file and complete the table to add your tags. Use the guideline below to understand what each heading means.

Note, that foreign characters cannot be added to this document otherwise it will not import correctly.

Content tags

  1. Tag ID. Leave this blank, a tag ID will be created for you.

  2. Name. Enter what you would like this tag to be named. Keep in mind that each tag needs to be unique.

  3. Type. In this instance choose either Competition or Content. Note, Type must be written in lowercase.

  4. Custom Slug Name. If you would like to give the slug a name enter it here. A slug is a unique name identifier (a short description).

  5. Custom Slug Activation. Enter in 1 if you would like to activate the custom slug name.

  6. Custom URL. If you have a custom click destination enter the full URL here e.g. http://www.example.com

  7. Priority. The tag priority is set to Medium as a default but you can enter a number between 1 and 5 as follows. 1 is Highest, 2 is High, 3 is Medium, 4 is Low, 5 is Lowest.

Product tags

  1. Tag ID. Leave this blank unless you want to update an existing tag. In that instance, you will enter the existing tag ID here.

  2. Tag Name. Enter what you would like this tag to be named.

  3. Tag Type. In this instance Product.

  4. Custom Slug Name. If you would like to give the slug a name enter it here. Maximum of 50 characters.

  5. Custom Slug Activation. Enter in 1 if you would like to activate the custom slug name.

  6. Custom URL. If you have a custom click destination enter the full URL here e.g. http://www.example.com

  7. Priority. The tag priority is set to Medium as a default but you can enter a number between 1 and 5 as follows. 1 is Highest, 2 is High, 3 is Medium, 4 is Low, 5 is Lowest.

  8. Price. The price of the product.

  9. Description. A description of the product.

  10. External Product ID. Your product ID or sku.

  11. Image Small URL. The URL to the small-sized image.

  12. Image Small Width. The width of the small-sized image.

  13. Image Small Height. The height of the small-sized image.

  14. Image Medium URL. The URL to the medium-sized image.

  15. Image Medium Width. The width of the medium-sized image.

  16. Image Medium Height. The height of the medium-sized image.

  17. Visibility. Enter 1 if you would like the tag to be public or 0 if you would like it to be private.

  18. Button Text. Enter the text you would like to appear on your ShopSpots button.

  19. Custom URL Target. Enter _blank to open in a new tab, _self to open in the current window or _parent to open in the parent frame (if the widget is framed).

Once complete, go to your Stack account, Curate > Tags > Import Tags, and browse for your CSV file. Click on Submit to add your Tags.
