Overview
Every Bundle in Nosto has a status. The status tells you if the Bundle can show on-site, and if any products in it are missing or replaced. This allows you to easily understand, if there might be some attention needed for some of your Bundles.
Note: Whether a Bundle can show also depends on your Recommendation slot settings (for example, minimum number of products) and whether the Bundle is actually assigned to any slot.
Where You See Bundle Statuses
You see the Bundle status in:
Bundles Overview
“Status” column for each Bundle
You can sort the list by status
You can filter the list by a single status at a time (for example, only “Unavailable” Bundles)
Bundle detail view
Status indicator at the top of the page
When you update your existing Bundle, the status will update once changes are saved.
Tip: Use the status filter to focus on problems first (for example, filter to “Unavailable” or “Incomplete” to fix Bundles that will not show as expected).
How Status Relates to Visibility
At a high level:
Can show normally (if assigned and matching slot rules)
Enabled
Fallback applied
Incomplete
Will not show at all
Disabled
Unavailable
Archived
Important:
The bundles status only describes availability and configuration. A Bundle that is “Enabled”, “Incomplete” or “Fallback applied” can still fail to show if:
It is not assigned to any Recommendation slot, or
It does not meet the slot rules (for example, does not reach the minimum number of products).
Statuses explained
Enabled
An Enabled Bundle is fully ready, without implications.
What it means:
The Bundle is enabled in Nosto.
All products in the Bundle are in stock.
There are no fallbacks in use for any product.
The Bundle can show on-site, as long as:
It is assigned to at least one Recommendation slot, and
It matches the slot rules (including the minimum number of products).
Note: Enabled does not mean “currently showing”.
Disabled
A Disabled Bundle is turned off.
What it means:
The Bundle has been manually disabled / deactivated in Nosto.
The Bundle will never show on-site, regardless of stock or fallbacks.
You can re-enable the Bundle later if you want to use it again.
Typical use cases:
You have created a new Bundle but do not want it live yet.
You want to temporarily stop showing a Bundle without archiving it.
Incomplete
An Incomplete Bundle is partially available.
What it means:
The Bundle is active (not disabled, not archived).
Some products in the Bundle are out of stock, but not all.
At least one product is still in stock.
The Bundle may show on-site, depending on the “minimum products” setting in the Recommendation slot it is assigned to, and if the setting “Show incomplete bundles” under Dynamic Bundles > Settings is enabled.
Example:
You have a 4-product Bundle.
2 products are out of stock and have no fallbacks.
2 products are still in stock.
The Bundle is Incomplete, but it might still show if your Recommendation setting allows to show Bundles with just 2 products and the setting “Show incomplete bundles” is enabled for the account.
Tip: If an important Bundle is often Incomplete, review which products go out of stock most frequently and consider adding fallbacks for them.
Fallback Applied
Fallback applied means the Bundle is active and using replacements for out-of-stock products.
What it means:
The Bundle is active (a user set the status to enabled at some point).
One or more original products in the Bundle are out of stock.
These out-of-stock products have fallbacks configured, and those fallbacks are currently in use.
The Bundle will show on-site (assuming it is assigned and matches slot rules), but:
Shoppers will see the fallback products instead of the original out-of-stock products.
However, just like the Enabled status, this doesn’t necessarily mean the bundle is currently being displayed—it only means that fallbacks will be shown when the bundle is displayed.

Unavailable
An Unavailable Bundle cannot be shown on-site at all.
What it means:
The Bundle is active (not disabled, not archived).
All products in the Bundle are out of stock.
There are no fallbacks that could show for any of the out-of-stock products.
The Bundle will never show on-site in its current form.
How it differs from Incomplete:
Incomplete: at least something in the Bundle can still show (in-stock product or fallback).
Unavailable: there is nothing in the Bundle that can show.
Tip: When you see Unavailable Bundles, either remove or replace out-of-stock products, or configure fallbacks so the Bundle can become Incomplete or Enabled again. If you don’t need the Bundle anymore, consider archiving it.
Archived
An Archived Bundle is effectively retired, but you can bring it back later.
What it means:
The Bundle has been archived in Nosto.
The Bundle will not show on-site, even if products are in stock.
You can un-archive it from the Bundles dashboard if you want to use it again.
How this differs from Disabled:
Disabled is often used when you plan to use the Bundle later (for example, before a campaign).
Archived is mainly for organization, when you do not want the Bundle anymore but still want to keep it for history or potential future reuse.
Summary
Enabled – All products in stock, Bundle is active and can show if assigned and matching slot rules.
Disabled – Bundle is turned off and will never show.
Incomplete – Some products missing (out of stock without fallback), but at least one product or fallback can still show; visibility depends on the slot’s minimum products.
Fallback applied – Bundle is active and showing with one or more fallback products replacing out-of-stock originals.
Unavailable – Nothing in the Bundle can show (all products out of stock, no fallbacks); Bundle will never show.
Archived – Bundle is retired for organizational reasons and will not show, but can be un-archived.
