This article explains how to disconnect or disable the Nosto Pixel from your website while continuing to sync your product catalog with Facebook / Meta for ads and commerce features.

Step-by-Step Guide

If you previously connected Facebook with Nosto you will need to disconnect the integration before you follow the steps below.

  • Go to Settings > Integrations > Facebook & Instagram and click Integrate in your Nosto admin or Disconnect if previously connected with Pixel + Catalog.

  • In the integration setup, select the option “Only Product Catalog”

    • This tells Nosto to not inject pixel events on your site.

    • Nosto will continue managing the product catalog updates to Facebook.

  • After selecting catalog only mode, click Next

  • Then Connect with Facebook and select the accounts you want connected.

📊 What Changes With This Setup

✔️ Catalog Will Still Sync

  • Your product feed continues uploading to Facebook automatically.

  • Catalog updates (like pricing, availability) will reflect in Facebook & Instagram.

❌ Pixel Events & Segment-Based Audiences Are Disabled

  • Since the pixel is disabled, real-time behavioural events (like PageView, Purchase) won’t be collected by Nosto’s integration.

  • This means you cannot create or use Nosto segment-based audiences.
