If you have not installed the plugin(s) already, you can do so via the Plugins section of your account. Locate your chosen feature, Rights by Response or Rights by Registration.

In many cases, Nosto's Rights Management functionality is used for collecting permission from your users to repurpose their content within your marketing efforts (email marketing, ads, etc.) However, often the quality of these aggregated assets may not be up to par for your needs. Luckily, through our Right by Registration option, you can now ask users to directly upload the original, high-resolution version of their images, videos, & audio files!

  1. Go to Settings > Rights via Registration

  2. Once the page loads, scroll down to step 3, CUSTOMIZE YOUR PAGES.

  3. From the User Info tab, click “Yes I want user info” If you haven’t enabled this yet, then click the Edit button.

  4. At the bottom of the list, you can now select the “Enable File Uploader” option.

Enabling this option will provide your users with a direct upload form as part of the data collection step of the Rights Management form. This upload form has a maximum file size of 100 MB and can accept images, videos, and audio files.

Where are these assets stored in Nosto?

By default, when a post is approved by the user, the post’s media will be automatically added to your UGC Asset Manager.

If you have enabled the File Uploader in your form and the user provided the original high-res version of their media, it will automatically replace the social network’s version of the media on the post. As a result, when you download your assets, you will be downloading the high-resolution version that your users have provided.
