Nosto's UGC Rights Management functionality provides a workflow for clients to request Rights for any piece of User Generated Content they have aggregated into their Stack, beyond just Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

The following guide provides the recommended Best Practices for requesting Rights if you would like to apply this workflow to content collected from the following networks:

UGC offers the ability to Discover and Aggregate Videos from your brand's TikTok accounts via Terms and other TikTok accounts via Manual Tile or Chrome Extension. Content from your own brand's account will be automatically marked as rights owned. For other TikTok accounts the best way to distribute a Rights Management request to the user is by sending a direct message to the Content Creator.

To do this, simply find your way to the Content Creator's user page, and click on the ... > Send Message button located near their User Name.

This will load up TikTok messaging which will allow you to send a 1:1 message to the Content Creator requesting Rights to the respective Asset(s).

This method will ensure that only the content creator can see the respective Rights via Registration link for the Tile they have created.

UGC offers the ability to Discover and Aggregate Photos and Videos from Flickr based upon a User, Gallery, Album or Search Term. In all four cases, the best way to distribute a Rights Management request to the user is by sending a direct message to the Content Creator.

To do this, simply find your way to the Content Creator's user page, and click on the Envelope located near their User Name.

This will load up FlickrMail which will allow you to send a 1:1 message to the Content Creator requesting Rights to the respective Asset(s).

This method will ensure that only the content creator can see the respective Rights via Registration link for the Tile they have created.

UGC offers the ability for customers to Discover Images from Imgur on the Platform, aggregating both the Media File and the comment.

To request Rights for a particular Imgur post, it is recommended that a User leverages the Chat function on the Platform.

To do this, the user should click on the Chat icon in the top right hand corner.

And then search for the relevant content creator to send the Right Management message to.

Note: Imgur as a Source often includes Content which has originated from other sources. As such the creator of the post on the Network may not be the original Content Creator. This should be considered when requesting Rights from this Network.

UGC offers the ability for customers to Discover content from Pinterest based upon a User or a Board. In both cases, the recommended approach for requesting Rights is to message the respective Pinterest User the post was aggregated from.

To do this, simply navigate to the Pinterest User's page, and select the Message button located at the top right hand corner of the page.

From here you will have the ability to send a private message to the Pinterest user around your respective Rights request.

Note: Pinterest as a Source often includes Content which has originated from other sources. As such the creator of the post on the Network may not be the original Content Creator. This should be considered when requesting Rights from this Network.

UGC offers the ability for customers to Discover content and comments from Reddit via the Zapier plugin.

To request Rights for a specific post on the network it is recommended that you reach out to the Content Creator via the Chat function. To do this, simply click on the Chat icon located on the top right of the page.

From here you can now select either New Chat or Start a Chat.

And then you can look up the respective Content Creator and send them a direct message.

Note: Reddit as a Source often includes Content which has originated from other sources. As such the creator of the post on the Network may not be the original Content Creator. This should be considered when requesting Rights from this Network.

UGC offers the ability for users to Discover content on the Social Network, Sina Weibo, based upon a specific Business Page or a Weibo Topic.

For the purposes of requesting Rights, it is recommended that the brand reaches out to the original Content Creator with a private message.

To do this, simply hover over the Content Creator's avatar or find the Content Creator's profile and select Message.

This will allow you to send to the User a Direct Message requesting Rights to the respective piece of Content.

UGC offers the ability for customers to Discover Playlists, Songs and Albums on Spotify and aggregate this content, via a Spotify player, into their Stack.

Now in the scenario where you would like to request Rights for a respective item on Spotify, it is recommended that the brand reaches out to the original Content Creator with a private message.

To do this, visit the Spotify Community page and click on your Community Profile.

From here you will be allowed to select Compose New Message and look up a respective User of the Platform to send your Rights Request.

Note: Spotify as a Source often includes Content which has originated from other sources. As such the creator of the post on the Network may not be the original Content Creator. This should be considered when requesting Rights from this Network.

UGC offers the ability for customers to Discover Playlists, Songs and Albums on Soundcloud and aggregate this content, via a Soundcloud player, into their Stack.

Now in the scenario where you would like to request Rights for a respective item on Soundcloud, it is recommended that the brand reaches out to the original Content Creator with a private message.

To do this, simply click on the Envelope button located in the top right hand corner of the page.

From here you will be allowed to select New Message and look up a respective User of the Platform to send your Rights Request.

Note: Soundcloud as a Source often includes Content which has originated from other sources. As such the creator of the post on the Network may not be the original Content Creator. This should be considered when requesting Rights from this Network.

UGC offers the ability for customers to Discover Blog content from Tumblr.

For the purposes of requesting Rights, it is recommended that the brand reaches out to the original Content Creator with a private message on the Network.

To do this, simply visit the Content Creator's profile, and click on the Chat icon located at the top right hand corner of the Profile page.

This will load up the Chat dialog upon which you can then send your Rights Request message to the respective Content Creator.

UGC offers the ability for customers to Discover Live and On-Demand streams from respective Twitch users and aggregate this content, via a Twitch player, into their Stack.

For the purposes of requesting Rights, it is recommended that the brand reaches out to the original Content Creator with a private message on the Network.

To do this, simply click on the Whisper icon located at the bottom right hand corner of your browser and search for the respective content creator.

From here you can now send your Rights Request message.

UGC offers the ability for customers to Discover content from Vimeo based upon an Album or Channel.

For the purposes of requesting Rights, it is recommended that the brand reaches out to the original Content Creator with a private message on the Network.

To do this, simply go to the Content Creator's Profile page on Vimeo and click on the Message button.

From here you can send your Rights Request message to the content creator.

UGC offers the ability for customers to aggregate Image, Text and Video posts sent to their Brand on WeChat.

For the purposes of collecting Rights, Nosto recommends that as the user is already having a 1:1 conversation with the Brand, that the respective Brand provides the Rights Request message directly back to the Content Creator.
