Assets which are added to the UGC Asset Manager are enriched as part of the Asset Creation and Transfer process.

Some of the different data which is stored or added to an Asset includes:

  • EXIF Data
Assets which are directly uploaded to UGC Asset Manager, uploaded via GoConnect, uploaded via Create Tile or provided via the Rights via Registration process by the Content Creator that had EXIF (Exchangeable image file format) Information will have this information stored and appended to the Asset.

This information can be refined by within the UGC Asset Manager.

Unfortunately Assets collected from most Social Networks have EXIF Data removed, so this cannot transfer across to Nosto.

  • Visual Recognition Concepts
Visual Recognition Concepts (which can be added prior to being moved to the Asset Manager or post) can be enriched by UGC's Visual Recognition feature. Concepts can come from either the General Model or one of the segment models offered by Nosto.

  • pHash
Assets which are directly uploaded to UGC Asset Manager, uploaded via GoConnect, uploaded via Create Tile or provided via the Rights via Registration process by the Content Creator are enriched via a Perceptual Hash (pHash) to assist with associating visually similar assets together.

  • Social Data
Assets which originated from Social Sources will have key information such as Message, User Handle, etc transferred across to the Asset as well. The information transferred will depend on the respective network.
