The Nosto MailGun integration for UGC allows brands to send automated emails to Content Creators whenever they submit fresh content via a Direct Uploader, or whenever their content has been published from the Platform.

Included below are the steps required to set up the plugin.

Connect MailGun Account:
To use the MailGun account, a brand needs to have its account with the Provider.

Once an account has been set, the first step that a brand must take is to add the domain they have configured within MailGun to Nosto (Domains can be found here) and the API Key for the respective Domain (API Keys can be found here).

These values can be provided to your Customer Success Account Manager, who can add them to your MailGun Plugin.

Configure Email Settings:
The Nosto MailGun integration allows brands to easily configure the following settings which will be applied to all Emails sent via the Plugin:

  • From Mail Address (Defines the Email Address - ie. name@yourdomain.com)

  • Brand Name (Defines the From Name - ie. My Business)

  • Brand Logo (URL to Brand Logo that appears at the top of the Email template)

  • Brand Link (URL Link to Brand Webpage)

  • Call to Action Text (Text Promotion that appears at the footer of the Email template)

  • Call to Action Image (URL to Promotion Image that appears at the footer of the Email template)

  • Call to Action Link (URL Link to Promotion)

Only the From Mail Address needs to be populated for the Emails to be sent. An example of all the fields being populated is shown below:

Customise Template:
The Nosto MailGun integration allows brands to fully customize the templates of the two Emails that will be sent out.

Located under Section Two of the plugin, brands have three sections that they can edit the HTML for:

  • Template

  • Submission Aggregated

  • Submission Published

The template is where Brands can define the default layout of the Email which will be applied to both Email types, whilst the Submission Aggregated and Submission Published relate to the specific elements of those two emails (ie. Subject Line, Email Body).

For all three tabs, brands have complete control over the HTML code for the specific Emails, as well as can inject various dynamic values into the template.
