As of April 1, 2025, we will be updating our integration with X due to recent changes in their commercial terms. We want to keep you fully informed about these changes and what they mean for your experience with our platform.
What’s Changing?
1. Removal of Term Aggregation for X
We will no longer support the aggregation of content from X based on a search term or account. This means that you will no longer be able to automatically pull posts from X using these parameters.
2. Removal of the Rights via Response Workflow for X
The rights via response workflow, previously available for handling content rights management via comments in X, will no longer be supported.
How Can You Manage X Content Moving Forward?
Going forward, you can create individual tiles for X in two ways:
Directly via the Admin Portal: Enter the X post URL to create a tile.
Via the Chrome Extension in X: Create tiles directly when browsing X.
Once a tile is created using either method, it will appear in the content curate view in the admin portal. However, please note that the tile cannot be published across different touchpoints until the content creator accepts the rights request and uploads the original asset.
How Can You Request Rights and the Original Asset for X?
You can still request the necessary rights through our updated Rights via Registration flow. Here’s how it will work:
Initiate the Request: Either in the Admin Portal or Chrome Extension select the rights via the registration option and send a direct message to trigger the flow for the content.
Content Creator Action: The content creator will receive a prompt to upload the original asset as part of the flow.
Tile Availability: Once the original asset is successfully uploaded, your tile will automatically become available for publishing in the Admin Portal and can be used across all your touchpoints.
What Do These Changes Mean for You?
These changes are necessary to comply with X's updated commercial terms and ensure continued, sustainable support of X in your user-generated content (UGC) strategy. While this means that some previous functionalities, such as automated content aggregation and rights via response workflow, will no longer be available, the new process has been designed to streamline tile creation and maintain a high standard for content authenticity and rights management.
Closer to the date we will share more instructions on how to leverage this new workflow.
