For Nosto to capture content from any Social Network, such as Facebook, the content must have been posted by a content creator who has a public account.

Specifically, Nosto can aggregate content using two methods:

  • Public Business or Community Pages (this can include content posted by fans)

  • Comments made to a specific Post on a business or community page

The type of content that will be aggregated from each of these two sources will be dependent on the Facebook Account(s) you have connected. For more information click here

Note: As per Facebook’s requirements, videos and GIFs can only be played within their network.

This means that a user can see the video and GIF exists (in a preview state) on an Onsite UGC Widget however, when viewing the video they will be directed to the source, Facebook, so it can be played.

For any further questions or queries, please send an email to support@nosto.com and our support team will get back to you.
