How to test an Event Screen

Once your event screen has been saved it will create an Event Screen URL.

To display, load the Event Screen URL into the web browser on your display screen. For best results use Google Chrome in Full Screen mode (on Windows press F11, on Mac press ⌘-Shift-F).

It is highly recommended that you test using the final event screen hardware as this will display your screen at the required screen resolution. However if this is not possible there are a few ways to view the screen using your laptop or monitor display.

Using Inspect Element

Using the Google Chrome browser load your URL, right click selecting "Inspect Element" and define the event screen resolution specs.

To do this click on the "Toggle Device Mode" button and then enter your screen specs on the far left hand side of the screen (for example 1920 x 1080) and then refresh the page for the screen to adjust.

This will display what the screen looks like at your chosen resolution. As this is only a simulator there is margin for incorrect display errors - please ensure that you test on the final hardware prior to your event.

Adjusting your screen resolution

If your laptop or desktop specs will allow it, you can also change the settings to display the same resolution specs as your event screen.

When using OSX on a MAC you can do this through System preferences > Display. Select "Scaled" in the Resolution field, and select your desired resolution (i.e. 1920 x 1080)

For a PC you can do this through Control Panel > Appearance and Personalisation > Adjust Screen Resolution. Click the drop-down list next to Resolution and select your desired resolution (i.e. 1920 x 1080), then click Apply.
